Welcome to Scorched Heads prize competitions! By entering any of our competitions, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility

• Open to UK residents aged 18 or over only.
• Employees of Scorched Heads and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
• Entry is subject to the specific competition rules.

2. How to Enter

• You can enter by purchasing tickets via our website or through the free entry route described below.
• Each competition has a unique skill-based question you must answer correctly to qualify.
• Multiple entries per competition are allowed unless otherwise stated.

3. Skill-Based Answer Variants and Entry Methods

Entry via Paid Ticket Variants

• Each competition ticket is offered with multiple product variants representing different answers to the skill-based question posed for the competition.
• Only tickets purchased with the variant corresponding to the correct answer to the skill-based question will be accepted as valid paid entries into the competition.
• Variants representing incorrect answers will not be eligible to win prizes and will be excluded from any prize draws.
• It is the entrant's responsibility to select the correct answer variant at the point of purchase.
• Tickets purchased with incorrect answer variants will be considered invalid entries for the purpose of winning prizes and will not be refunded unless the competition is cancelled.
• The variant chosen by the entrant will be recorded with their order and used to verify eligibility during the winner selection process.

Free Entry Route

• To comply with UK regulations for prize competitions and avoid the competition being classified as a lottery or gambling, a free entry method is always available.
• Entrants may submit a free postal entry containing their full name, full postal address, valid contact details, the correct answer to the skill-based question, and the competition name.
• All free postal entries must be sent in a separate stamped envelope to: Scorched Heads

• Free entries must be received by the competition closing date to be eligible.
• There is no purchase necessary to enter or win.
• Free entries will be treated equally alongside valid paid entries during the winner selection process.
• Incomplete, late, or illegible free entries will be disqualified.

4. Competition Prizes

• Each competition will clearly list its prize(s) and any specific conditions.
• Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered unless stated.
• We reserve the right to substitute prizes with items of equal or greater value if necessary.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

• Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries with correct answers (paid entries with correct variants and free postal entries).
• Draws may be conducted live or recorded and will be overseen for fairness.
• Winners will be contacted via the provided contact details within 7 working days of the draw.
• If a winner does not respond within 14 days, an alternative winner may be selected.

6. Publicity

• By entering, winners agree to their name, city/town, and photograph being used for promotional purposes.
• Personal contact details will not be shared without consent.

7. Entry Fees and Refunds

• Entry fees are non-refundable once submitted, except if a competition is cancelled.
• Paid entries with incorrect answer variants are not eligible for refunds unless the competition is cancelled.
• If a competition is cancelled, paid entries will be refunded in full.

8. Legal Compliance

• All competitions comply with UK prize competition regulations.
• These competitions are skill-based and are not classified as gambling or lotteries.
• This includes the use of skill-based answer variants and free postal entry routes to ensure legal compliance.

9. Data Protection

• Your personal data will be used only for competition administration and prize delivery.
• We will not share your data with third parties without your consent.

11. Insufficient Entries Clause

In the event that a competition does not reach the minimum number of paid entries required to award the advertised prize, Scorched Heads reserves the right to substitute the advertised prize with a cash alternative. This cash alternative will be calculated based on the total value of paid entries received, minus any reasonable administrative costs. This ensures fairness and transparency for all participants.
