My Mission - Plain and simple, no bullshit.

At Scorched Heads, my mission goes beyond creating quality skate wear. It's deeply personal, like to the max level. I've faced the challenges of depression, PTSD and anxiety all from being abused from when I was younger, and there were times when I felt completely overwhelmed by suicidal thoughts. During those dark moments, reaching out to these helplines provided a lifeline, offering support when I needed it most.

What made me start Scorched Heads?

To put it easily, a man named Simon Squibb. He popped across my tiktok one day and I remember the quote like it was yesterday.

“The purpose of a business is to help people. If you're not helping someone, you're not in business.”

Hearing that blew me away. Here I am thinking about how I can make millions, when who does that benefit? No one but myself. So I started looking, combining my creative ideas and my want to help people. I looked into companies charitable donations and wow I was shocked about what I found. For instance, recent research shows that only a quarter of FTSE 100 companies donated at least 1% of their pre-tax profits to charity in 2022. Some companies contributed as little as 0.02% or even 0% of their pre-tax profits to charitable causes. Let's be completely honest here, that is pure greed, I do not like it and nor should you.

I pledge to donate 33% of all profits from each product sold directly to the mental health charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). CALM is dedicated to preventing suicide and offering support to those in crisis.

At Scorched Heads, I am committed to making a more substantial impact. By allocating half of our profits to mental health support. I hope to set a new standard for corporate giving and inspire others to prioritise mental well being.

In the near future I am excited to hopefully collaborate with tattoo artists across the UK and globally to bring original, badass designs to our apparel.
